Artist's Statement:

"We are MEDIATED by the MEDIA. The media we receive has been propagandised, censored by self-interest and big business, corrupt officials and regimes. By drawing media manufactured imagery I am re-awakening or reminding the viewer of an atrocity that has long been superseded by another atrocity, or another 'fresh' headline from the procession of news stories that bombard us every day. By redrawing these stories they become a kind of historical document, a time capsule that is both personal and social—widely circulated media images re-visioned as art." - Locust Jones
