"My drawing practice uses media images for stimulus and effect. Without media coverage, comment and analysis I wouldn’t make the art I make. The major themes in my drawing — War, Globalisation, Politics and the Environment — all dramatically rehearse basic questions of human justice and power. My connection to these themes — the bedrock of my practice over the past decade — occurs via television, the Internet, radio and newspapers." - Locust Jones, 2009
